The Sound

CRAB is a five-piece “locally sourced alt rock” band from the Puget Sound. Founded in 2021, the group blends Seattle grunge, classic funk, alternative ballads, and hard-hitting punk into a devastatingly direct live show. Esoteric lyrics, eclectic genres, high energy, low maintenance: put them on the stage and they deliver.

Genres Alt Rock · Grunge · Punk · Funk · Alternative

For fans of Cake · Sublime · Audioslave · Soundgarden · Alice in Chains · Red Hot Chili Peppers · Presidents of the USA · Agent Orange

Proven live

The Draw

Rooms we’ve played Darrell’s Tavern (Shoreline) · Blue Moon (Seattle) · The Funhouse (Seattle) · Orient Express (SoDo) · Sunset Tavern (Ballard) · Mirkwood (Arlington) · Lucky Dime (Everett) · Tony V’s Garage (Everett)

A proven record of pulling crowds from across the Puget Sound since the band’s first public show in 2023.

Stage & Signal

Every on-stage source runs into our own labelled 16-channel splitter, then out a 20 ft labelled XLR snake to your stage box. When we run our own monitors, the house engineer only has to handle front of house.

We do not supply microphones. We do not bring a keyboard DI. We use house cabling unless the house requests otherwise.

Also from the house

  • Front-of-house PA + engineer (front of house only)
  • Stage power at all five positions
  • If we run our own monitors: access to re-patch 1 to 3 house wedges, which we restore after the set

Monitoring

We can run our own monitors. Lead vocal on wireless in-ears; keys, bass, and drums on wired in-ears; lead guitar on a wedge with his own mix. The two stage plots above show our layout with and without house wedges. Either way, the house engineer is not responsible for monitors.
